(askanews) - È l'intero sistema Paese che a gennaio 2024 partirà per lo Spazio con la missione Ax-3 dell'azienda spaziale privata americana Axiom Space diretta alla Stazione Spaziale Internazionale con un equipaggio interamente europeo di cui fa parte anche il Colonnello dell'Aeronautica Militare, Walter Villadei.La Difesa italiana, per tramite dell'Aeronautica Militare, è capofila di una missione che integra strategicamente le competenze di enti istituzionali, accademici e industriali italiani, tra cui la stessa Agenzia Spaziale italiana. Per due settimane, sull'ISS il Colonnello Villadei condurrà diversi esperimenti scientifici in microgravità legati alle attività umane nello Spazio.Axiom Space ha illustrato i dettagli della missione in una conferenza stampa online alla quale, per l'Italia hanno preso parte il Colonnello Domenico Antonacci dell'Aeronautica Militare e Barbara Negri, dell'Agenzia Spaziale Italiana. "Nell'ambito della missione AX-3, l'Aeronautica Militare porterà a bordo della Stazione Spaziale Internazionale alcuni esperimenti basati sulle capacità peculiari della Difesa - ha detto Antonacci - inoltre, in collaborazione con l'Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, verranno eseguiti ulteriori esperimenti in microgravità sia in campo medico che nella ricerca tecnologica"."Come sistema Paese - ha aggiunto Barbara Negri - abbiamo messo in campo le forze migliori: l'Agenzia Spaziale Italiana l'Aeronautica Militare, alcune industrie che volevano partecipare, i team scientifici che hanno un'esperienza di oltre vent'anni negli esperimenti per la Stazione Spaziale, quindi sicuramente il valore strategico visto in un contesto sistema Paese è altissimo".Tra gli esperimenti italiani, di particolare rilevanza l'Isoc (Italian Space Operations Centre) dell'Aeronautica Militare e l'Orion (Ovarian Research In microgravity cONditions) sulla fertilità femminile in microgravità, già iniziato da Samantha Cristoforetti."Isoc - ha precisato il Col.
