Nel complesso, alcuni capannoniattrezzati con macchinari "professionali, di dimensioniindustriali" e una sorta di edificio direzionale adibito adalloggio, c'erano 11 persone.Tutte, eccetto una, reclutate a luglio dalla Bielorussia conun annuncio online per un lavoro stagionale e poi segregate ecostrette a lavorare in condizioni di sfruttamento, sono statearrestate e poi rilasciate dal gip Fabrizio Filice: se da unlato sono responsabili del reato di contrabbando econtraffazione, dall'altro sono vittime di "una organizzazionecriminale a carattere transnazionale".Gli arresti, convalidati, così come il sequestrodell'opificio chiesto dal pm Giovanni Tarzia, risalgono alloscorso martedì. Nell'area, una volta deposito di fuochid'artificio, e ora in un grave stato di "incuria", accanto amateriale per il packaging e tanto altro, erano stipate numerosemacchine per la lavorazione del tabacco, la fabbricazione disigarette, il confezionamento di pacchetti e stecche con marchio"Marlboro" e "Winston". Pacchetti stoccati con le informazioni ele avvertenze per la salute in lingua inglese e sprovvisti delcontrassegno dei Monopoli di Stato. La quantità di tabaccolavorato a cui ora sono stati messi i sigilli, è di 3.510 chili,mentre le sigarette sono 52 mila suddivise in 104 colli da 50stecche ciascuno, per un peso di 1.040 chili.Secondo la ricostruzione i dieci operai bielorussi(l'undicesimo è di un'altra nazionalità) hanno rispostoall'annuncio per un lavoro stagionale, pagato 2.500/3.000 euroal mese, quanto un loro stipendio annuale, ma già durante ilviaggio sono stati loro sequestrati i cellulari.Una volta giunti a Rodano, come hanno raccontato, è statoordinato loro di ripristinare l'area che era "abbandonata epiena di rifiuti edili". In uno dei due capannoni sono poi statimontati i macchinari industriali per la lavorazione del tabaccoe la produzione di sigarette contraffatte, attività "nellaquale gli indagati (non tutti) sono stati coinvoltisuccessivamente, man mano che finivano la parte edile". Hannoinoltre riferito che era stato loro "severamente vietato dispostarsi liberamente nell'area", tant'è "che era statopredisposto un circuito di videosorveglianza" e "il cancello diuscita era comunque chiuso e loro non avevano le chiavi". Laspesa veniva portata da un ragazzo che viveva nei pressi deifabbricati, mentre per le emergenze, ma non per chiamare iparenti, l'organizzazione aveva messo a disposizione per tuttiun solo telefono.
