Dichiarazioni dalle quali era emerso che almeno 40 atleti impegnati nei Giochi erano risultati positivi al Covid. Secondo il chiarimento diffuso oggi, dunque, non sono imputabili solo al virus Sars-CoV-2 le positività censite a cui si è fatto riferimento. "Stiamo chiarendo le dichiarazioni" e "ci scusiamo per la confusione", si legge in una nota. "L'Oms ha lavorato a stretto contatto con il Comitato olimpico internazionale e il Governo della Francia per proteggere la salute e il benessere dei 10.714 atleti, nonché degli spettatori, durante i Giochi.
