(askanews) - Lunedì 4 dicembre 2023, la Corea del Sud ha testato con successo un razzo spaziale a combustibile solido, lanciato da una rampa sul mare, nei pressi dell'isola di Jeju.Il lancio è servito a mettere in orbita un piccolo satellite commerciale SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) per compiti di telerilevamento, costruito dall'azienda sudcoreana Hanwha Systems.Il buon esito del lancio è stato confermato dallo stesso Ministero della Difesa di Seoul che lo ha definito una pietra miliare nella corsa alla conquista dello Spazio che accelera l'acquisizione di sempre maggiori competenze di Intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance da parte del Paese nonché delle sue capacità di accesso autonomo allo Spazio.
