Così all'Adnkronos Salute David Lazzari, presidente del Consiglio nazionale dell'Ordine degli psicologi (Cnop). "Se il caldo eccessivo può portare a eccessi di stanchezza - fa notare Lazzari - a situazioni di astenia e disagio psichico in persone che non hanno patologie, in coloro che hanno problemi di salute mentale le elevate temperature amplificano ancora di più i disturbi di cui soffrono. Il caldo è percepito da una persona ansiosa come una situazione di pericolo, mentre il depresso ha una prospettiva ancora più negativa del contesto e dell'ambiente che lo circonda. Il caldo può produrre emozioni sfavorevoli e incidere sui processi cognitivi, quindi la persona ha difficoltà di concentrazione e di memoria oltre ad avvertire stanchezza". Per far fronte a questa situazione "di disagio globale, il consiglio è quello di evitare di esporsi alla morsa dell'afa nelle ore centrali della giornata, di proteggersi e di riposare bene, anche durante il pomeriggio".
