Queste intercettazioni, secondo una controversa legge della Luisiana, costituiscono prove sufficienti per arrestare i rei anche se nella realtà gli omicidi non vengono commessi. Chiamato all’ultimo momento ad abbandonare il furgone delle intercettazioni per sostituire l’agente sotto copertura, il mite professore ci prende gusto, e diventa un artista del travestimento, capace con la sua parlantina di far dire a decine di aspiranti omicidi le parole necessarie ad incastrarli. Tutto procede bene, fino a quando una ragazza gli chiede di uccidere per lei il marito violento, e lui, sensibile al suo fascino, la convince a rinunciare. Il disastro è assicurato.Ottimo Glen Powell nella parte del mite professore.
