connorma revocatoria, o clawback, la liquidazione del ceo AlanJoyce, che dopo un una serie di scandali e azioni legali inmaggio ha lasciato in anticipo la compagnia che aveva guidatodal 2008. Il board ha trattenuto 10,5 milioni di dollariaustraliani dai suoi guadagni finali di 21,4 milioni di dollariper l'anno 2022-23, dopo un tumultuoso ultimo anno di carrierasegnato da scandali legali e da proteste per un servizio clientiscadente. Questo in un periodo di alte tariffe aeree e di un profittorecord di 2,47 miliardi di dollari. Altri dirigenti della Qantashanno subito una riduzione del 33% dai loro introiti, tra iquali la nuova CEO Vanessa Hudson, in precedenza direttricefinanziaria dell'aerolinea.Un riesame della governance della compagnia ha concluso chesotto la guida di Joyce è stato causato "danno considerevole"alla reputazione della compagnia e alle sue relazioni conclienti, con dipendenti e altri soggetti interessati. Notainoltre che la perdita finanziaria legata all'azione legaleavviata dall'ente di tutela dei consumatori - legata allavendita di biglietti per migliaia di voli che la Qantas avevagià cancellati nel suo sistema interno - ha portato ad unatransazione costata 100 milioni di A$ in penali e altri 20milioni in risarcimenti. Secondo il senatore laburista TonySheldon, che come dirigente del sindacato dei trasporti avevagià avuto una relazione combattiva con la Qantas, il ricorsoalla norma revocatoria sui suoi guadagni è la giusta misura."Assicura Alan Joyce subisca almeno in piccola parte lesofferenze che la Qantas ha inflitto ai dipendenti e ai clientidurante il suo mandato", ha detto.
