Secondo le rilevazioni dell'associazione CaputFrigoris, sono stati raggiunti i 42,8 gradi a Castiglione aCasauria (Pescara) e i 40,4 a Capestrano (L'Aquila); sfiorati i40 gradi anche a Bussi sul Tirino e superati i 38 a Popoli(Pescara) e Bellante (Teramo). Superati i 30 gradi anche nellelocalità montane: oltre 33 gradi a Santo Stefano di Sessanio,1.220 metri sul livello del mare, e a Scanno (1.100 metri);oltre 30 gradi a Castel del Monte (1. 325 metri), CivitellaAlfedena (1.120 metri), Pescasseroli (1.174 metri),Pescocostanzo (1.260 metri) e Rocca di Mezzo (1.217 metri).Rovente anche la costa, con Montesilvano che ha superato i 35gradi. Nonostante le temperature elevate, il Centro funzionaled'Abruzzo della Protezione civile definisce "basso" il rischioincendi in tutte le province. Nelcapoluogo adriatico, dopo oggi, anche per sabato e domenica èprevisto il livello 3, che indica condizioni di emergenza(ondata di calore) con possibili effetti negativi sulla salutedi persone sane e attive e non solo sui sottogruppi a rischiocome gli anziani, i bambini molto piccoli e le persone affetteda malattie croniche; tanto più prolungata è l'ondata di calore,tanto maggiori sono gli effetti negativi attesi sulla salute.Gli esperti di AbruzzoMeteo.org parlano di "condizionigenerali di cielo prevalentemente sereno con possibiliannuvolamenti a ridosso dei rilievi durante le ore centralidella giornata e nel corso del pomeriggio.
