I carabinieri del Nucleo Ispettorato del lavoro hanno effettuato dei controlli in una struttura ricettiva del Vallo di Diano. Nel corso degli accertamenti, condotti insieme al personale dell'Ispettorato Territoriale del Lavoro ed ai mediatori culturali dell'Oim, sono state trovate 30 persone al lavoro. Tra di loro 17 cittadini extracomunitari (Sri Lanka, India e Moldavia), privi di valido permesso di soggiorno che sarebbe stati impiegati in manifeste condizioni di sfruttamento, costretti a dormire in locali di fortuna a loro adibiti, ricavati in un edificio in costruzione e già gravato da provvedimento di sequestro per abusi edilizi. All'interno della struttura ricettiva sono state riscontrate gravi violazioni in materia di salute e sicurezza nei luoghi di lavoro, che hanno dato luogo all'adozione di un contestuale provvedimento di prescrizione. Essendo emersi gravi indizi di reità, nei confronti dei titolari della struttura ricettiva, il pm di turno presso la Procura di Vallo della Lucania ha disposto l'arresto del legale rappresentante della società che gestisce la struttura e del socio, disponendone gli arresti domiciliari. Inoltre, è stata denunciata la Consulente del lavoro della società. Nella circostanza sono state contestate sanzioni amministrative per un importo di circa 41 mila euro e ammende per violazione delle norme sulla sicurezza nei luoghi di lavoro per un importo di circa 33 mila euro per un totale di circa 74 mila euro.
