"Quella di quest'anno è un'edizione che accresce la sua internazionalità avvicinandosi al traguardo di GO!2025 - ha rimarcato Anzil -. L'eccellenza costruita in oltre quarant'anni di attività culturale dall'Associazione "Sergio Amidei" ha senz'altro contribuito al riconoscimento dei contenuti necessari a Gorizia per diventare, con Nova Gorica, Capitale europea della cultura. Ringrazio pertanto l'associazione per il ruolo che ha saputo conquistarsi negli anni, tenendo alto il profilo internazionale dell'iniziativa". Anzil ha poi voluto ricordare che "come disse Ricciotto Canudo all'inizio del secolo scorso, quando attribuì al cinema il ruolo di settima arte, la cinematografia ha unito la dimensione dello spazio e del tempo e Tornatore è stato un vero maestro di questo connubio.
