giornalisti famosi): una rivista di bordo elegante e colta, ecco il racconto del progetto voluto da Alitalia e a cui Vittorio Emiliani si dedicò ◆ Il corsivetto di VITTORIO EMILIANI► Anni fa venimmo incaricati di studiare e realizzare una rivista di bordo per le linee nazionali dell’Alitalia. Ogni numero, secondo lo schema approvato dalla direzione generale, doveva essere dedicato ad una grande città italiana, con articoli di firme valide, nazionali ma pure estere, che ne illustrassero la storia, l’economia, le bellezze, le tradizioni, eccetera. Dovevamo quindi individuare e incaricare uno storico o un letterato locale e commissionargli un ritratto della città. Ad esempio, Giuseppe Galasso o Antonio Ghirelli entrambi storici della città per Napoli. Il regista Florestano Vancini o lo scrittore Giorgio Bassani per Ferrara. E via elencando.La rivista piacque molto, pagava piuttosto bene le collaborazioni e noi la confezionammo per anni fornendo un ritratto dell’Italia vivace e informato. Con un po’ di coraggio in più da parte dei committenti c’era da ricavarne un volume antologico viste le eccellenti firme coinvolte nella impresa. Ma la dirigenza Alitalia era cambiata e quella nuova non capiva il valore dell’idea proposta. Un’idea che mi sento di considerare del tutto valida anche per una raccolta pubblicitaria locale. Fra l’altro in più di un caso andammo a presentare il numero nella città trattata e anche quelle presentazioni ebbero molto successo. Poi l’azienda di aerotrasporto ha attraversato le ben note difficoltà e il progetto rimase sulla carta.
