In un'intervista al settimanale 'Chi' da mercoledì in edicola, la presidente del Consiglio Giorgia Meloni affronta anche il lato privato della sua vita: dalla separazione da Andrea Giambruno alle difficoltà di conciliare il ruolo di madre con i doveri istituzionali, un tema che considera una "sfida culturale"."Il fatto che io sia arrivata con Ginevra in Cina, scendendo mano nella mano dall'aereo, ha fatto molto discutere - ricorda la premier -. Non ne capisco la ragione, francamente. Tra viaggi e impegni sono stata via quasi una settimana, avrei dovuto lasciare mia figlia a casa, magari a casa di amici? Io penso che ogni mamma sappia cosa sia meglio per la sua prole e debba scegliere in libertà. Ma c'è di più, questa - afferma la premier - è anche una sfida culturale che riguarda tutte le donne: penso che, se io, che sono presidente del Consiglio, riesco a dimostrare che il mio incarico è compatibile con la maternità, allora non ci saranno più scuse per quelli che usano la maternità come pretesto per non far avanzare le donne sul posto di lavoro. Credo che capisca a grandi linee che quello che faccio è importante, ma non abbastanza da considerare giusto che quel lavoro mi tolga il tempo da passare con lei. Di ritorno dalla Cina mi ha scritto un biglietto nel quale mi diceva che ogni volta che spegne le candeline esprime il desiderio di passare più tempo con me. Mi ha fatto sentire molto in colpa. Di solito si dice che non sia una questione di quantità del tempo che passi con i figli, ma di qualità. Penso che sia vero in astratto, ma non nel concreto. I bambini vogliono, giustamente, che tu ci sia quando accade qualcosa che li emoziona, perché la felicità ha bisogno di essere condivisa".La premier racconta anche della rottura del rapporto con Andrea Giambruno. "Quando ci siamo separati non è stato facile neanche per Ginevra. È legatissima a entrambi. Con noi a lungo ha fatto finta di nulla, ma io so che piangeva quando non la vedevamo. Mi ha fatto venire il cuore come una nocciolina. Fortunatamente, io e Andrea, che rimane il padre migliore che potessi desiderare per mia figlia, abbiamo mantenuto un buon rapporto. Quando possiamo passiamo del tempo insieme con Ginevra. Penso sia importante far capire ai bambini che una separazione non debba scatenare per forza un conflitto tra i genitori e che i figli non debbano essere costretti a scegliere tra mamma e papà. Non è sempre facile, mi rendo conto, ma quando è possibile è utile farlo". Tant'è che, rivela la premier, "faremo tutti e tre anche qualche giorno di vacanza insieme con un gruppo di amici e i loro figli. Siamo ancora amici e ci vogliamo bene.
