anni, Alberto Arbasino è stato scrittore, recensore musicale e teatrale, poligrafo. Ci conoscevamo bene sin da quando, ultimo di quattro figli, mi ero dovuto  trasferire a Voghera città natale del Nino Alberto, dopo il Liceo Classico a Ferrara. Nella capitalina dell’Oltrepo la famiglia di Arbasino, possidenti di campagna, aveva beni al sole e una centralissima farmacia. La sua carriera universitaria era stata incerta, prima Medicina a Pavia, poi Diritto internazionale a Milano. E nel mondo culturale inglese soprattutto (il Blomboory Club delle Mansfield). Aveva concepito una passione per il melodramma (sua una regia di “Carmen” al Comunale di Bologna), e difatti ci incontravamo ai concerti a Santa Cecilia. Aveva fatto parte del Gruppo 63 con Sanguineti e altri. Tanti e importanti i suoi libri. Il capolavoro? Forse “Fratelli d’Italia”. Aveva una predilezione per Carlo Emilio Gadda che accompagnava a casa su una spider a tutta velocità terrorizzandolo. Su di lui scrisse il piacevole “L’uomo in blu”. Aveva collaborato al “Giorno” dove però per il taglio di un capoverso disse addio a Pietra citando Scott Fitzgerald. «Perché tu saresti Scott Fitzgerald?», gli fece il direttore secco secco. Tanto si potrebbe scrivere. Certo con lui è scomparso un intellettuale politicamente conservatore (fu deputato del Pri non lamalfiamo) all’interno di una avanguardia culturale movimentista.
