la festa della Pallareta, che si terrà a partire dalle 8 del mattino fino al pomeriggio del prossimo 7 ottobre, in uno dei boschi più affascinanti del capoluogo di regione."La festa è dedicata alla transumanza, che in Basilicata rappresenta il simbolo della nostra attività rurale - ha detto Galella - e che ha radici nelle nostre tradizioni. L'evento vede il coinvolgimento degli istituti agrari, durante la giornata sono previsti laboratori per presentare le qualità degli esemplari, dei racconti sulla transumanza, degustazioni, musica. Bisogna far capire che il latte podolico lucano, il caciocavallo podolico lucano è differente in termini di qualità. Una vacca podolica vive 25 anni contro i cinque di una che vive in un allevamento intensivo. La transumanza in Basilicata è principalmente legata alla vacca podolica, per il 99 per cento, una delle caratteristiche che rende la nostra regione unica".La presentazione della festa dedicata alla transumanza è stata anche l'occasione per presentare l'elenco dei pastori custodi, previsto dalla legge regionale numero 54 del 2021 che riconosce funzione sociale, territoriale e ambientale del pastore e istituisce un apposito elenco regionale dei pastori custodi del territorio aggiornando anche la mappa delle aziende zootecniche regionali. "E' l'uomo che si adatta all'animale rispettandone le caratteristiche della razza.
