Ideatoripescando ricordi d'infanzia e realizzato scolpendo ogni giornoper 4 anni, dal 1977 al 1981, 1133 piccoli manufatti tra figureumane, animali, attrezzi di lavoro, oltre agli innumerevoliaccessori come anfore, stoffe, suppellettili, e tutto ilnecessario per rappresentare fedelmente circa 20 antichimestieri d'Abruzzo: è il presepe artistico di Enzo Mosca,artigiano autodidatta e calzolaio del 1927, di Sulmona, dovel'opera è custodita nel museo diocesano di Arte sacra di SantaChiara. 558 personaggi, 140 attrezzi da lavoro, 14 cavalli, 42 asini, 27buoi, 14 cani, 14 capre, 113 pecore, 9 gatti, 7 maiali, 110volatili, 3 biglie, 6 carri, 14 carretti, 2 carrozzelle, 10carriole, 43 case: un vero e proprio villaggio di una volta inminiatura, dove la vita attiva, le espressioni e le movenze deipersonaggi sono riprodotti con dovizia di particolari adincarnare mestieri che stanno scomparendo, di arrotino, bastaio,bottaio, calderaio, calzolaio, carradore, cestaio, contadino,falegname, fornaio, funaio, maniscalco, muratore, scalpellino,scultore, seggiolaio, sellaio."Quest'opera vuole essere un omaggio ai nostri padri e nonni,alla gente semplice e laboriosa di una volta", si legge su unfoglio affisso nella stanza del museo a firma dell'artista ormai94enne.Situazioni sceniche di vita quotidiana al mercato, in bottega,in cantina, per strada, nei campi, concepite bandosi sui ricordid'infanzia trascorsa nel "Borgo Pacentrano", uno dei quartieridel centro storico di Sulmona.
