Ha significato se diventa il momento del confronto e della riflessione su un fenomeno tanto esecrabile quanto subdolo che sempre più spesso si manifesta. Perché, se è vero che la cronaca è piena di omicidi di donne per motivi basati sul genere, è anche vero che i femminicidi rappresentano soltanto la punta di un iceberg. Di una violenza che si consuma a più livelli, all'interno delle abitazioni come in altri contesti, ogni volta che si lede il valore di una donna ed è in discussione la sua integrità di persona.Saluto con favore le recenti misure del governo che contengono importanti novità sia per la repressione dei reati perpetrati contro le donne, compresi quelli che offendono la loro dignità, sia per ciò che riguarda le misure di prevenzione. Occorre, però, andare oltre e superare quella sottocultura che considera le donne subalterne. Un pregiudizio difficile da eradicare se non attraverso un deciso cambio di rotta culturale. Rompere i preconcetti che si declinano nelle forme di violenza sulle donne si può se si promuove un'educazione di genere nelle scuole, nelle università, sui social media, in ambito familiare e sociale. Se si investe sulla formazione, a partire dalle giovani generazioni". Lo dichiara il Presidente della Regione Basilicata, Vito Bardi. "La Regione Basilicata ha promosso, negli ultimi anni, azioni per superare gli stereotipi alla base delle discriminazioni che le persone e, in particolare le donne, subiscono ancora oggi nella società. Parallelamente, sono stati costantemente sostenuti i servizi di accoglienza, di assistenza e di sostegno alle donne vittime di violenza e ai loro figli, con l'obiettivo di creare una rete dei servizi territoriali, di centri antiviolenza e case rifugio. Ciò è stato possibile grazie all'impegno dell'associazionismo di riferimento e di tutti gli altri attori, pubblici e privati che, direttamente o indirettamente, sono stati coinvolti. La Regione ha attivato, inoltre, progetti di formazione delle figure professionali che, a vario titolo, interagiscono con le donne vittime e con i minori, nel percorso di prevenzione, sostegno e reinserimento. In via sperimentale, a Potenza e Matera abbiamo avviato i Cuav, centri nei quali gli uomini autori o potenziali autori di violenza di genere seguono percorsi finalizzati alla sensibilizzazione sui comportamenti interpersonali corretti da adottare. Ultima, ma solo in ordine di tempo, la firma del "Protocollo Zeus" con la Polizia di Stato, il Comune di Potenza e l'Azienda sanitaria di Potenza contro lo stalking e la violenza domestica" continua."Iniziative, queste, che si aggiungono a quelle già messe in atto dal governo regionale per l'effettiva parità di genere nel posto di lavoro e per conciliare i tempi del lavoro con i tempi della famiglia.
