"Per l'Herpes zoster", ad esempio, "abbiamo già una vaccinazione che funziona molto bene - continua Siliquini - Anche in questo caso, è molto utile agli anziani, ai pazienti fragili e soprattutto ai pazienti oncologici che hanno un abbassamento delle difese immunitarie più elevato di quello fisiologico dell'età anziana". Per il futuro, "l'auspicio credo sia quello di aumentare le coperture vaccinali.
