(Adnkronos/Labitalia) - Una cattedra che unirà Intelligenza Artificiale e cambiamento climatico, per rafforzare le competenze green e tech necessarie a fronteggiare le complessità di un ecosistema ambientale e sociale in rapida trasformazione. Con questo obiettivo, l'Università Luiss Guido Carli ed Engineering, leader nei processi di digitalizzazione per aziende e pubbliche amministrazioni, danno vita, a partire dal prossimo anno accademico, alla cattedra in 'AI & Climate Change'. Il nuovo corso accademico formerà, per la prima volta in Italia e in Europa, profili in grado di applicare le potenzialità dell’Intelligenza Artificiale alle sfide ambientali, in particolare riguardo alla prevenzione e gestione delle emergenze climatiche, l’ottimizzazione delle infrastrutture, comprese quelle idriche, e lo sviluppo di strategie per analizzare e mitigare gli impatti ecologici sugli ecosistemi. La formazione di competenze con queste caratteristiche risulterà infatti sempre più centrale nel mercato del lavoro, sia per le Pubbliche Amministrazioni sia per le aziende di tutti i settori. Engineering, che ha fatto della centralità delle politiche ESG un pilastro fondamentale della sua strategia di crescita, ribadisce così il proprio impegno nella sostenibilità ambientale attraverso l’utilizzo del digitale e delle nuove tecnologie, e si avvarrà di questa collaborazione per rafforzare le attività del gruppo in chiave di ricerca e sviluppo.Per Luiss la nuova cattedra rappresenta un’ulteriore testimonianza dell’impegno sulla sostenibilità, che ha permesso all’Ateneo di classificarsi 15° al mondo e 1° nella categoria 'Energy and Climate Change' nell’ultima edizione del Ranking World University UI GreenMetric.Come ha dichiarato il Rettore della Luiss, Paolo Boccardelli: “Con questa iniziativa, che rappresenta uno dei percorsi formativi sulla transizione digitale e verde più avanzati e innovativi in Europa, con un partner di prestigio e leader nella digitalizzazione come Engineering, intendiamo sia fornire una risposta all’elevata richiesta di competenze in tali settori da parte delle imprese, sia realizzare progetti di ricerca volti a creare consapevolezza su tecnologie e pratiche, di business e istituzionali, che contribuiscano a vincere l'enorme sfida del cambiamento climatico”.
