(askanews) - La New Space Economy nel 2021 ha generato un valore di 370 miliardi di dollari ed è destinata a crescere ancora fino a +74% entro il 2030. In questo settore, l'Italia vanta una posizione di tutto rispetto, con più di 320 imprese e 6mila addetti. Lo ha detto il ministro delle Imprese e del Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso all'apertura della quinta edizione del New Space Economy European Expoforum, in programma alla Fiera di Roma dal 5 al 7 dicembre 2023.Un appuntamento divenuto irrinunciabile per le aziende aerospaziali e i principalli operatori nazionali e internazionali del settore, a partire dall'Esa (Agenzia Spaziale europea) e, soprattutto, dall'Asi, l'Agenzia Spaziale italiana. Quest'anno, inoltre, occhi puntati anche sull'Aeronautica Militare, protagonista della prossima missione italiana nello Spazio a gennaio 2024, la prima missione spaziale commerciale per il nostro Paese, la AX-3 dell'azienda privata americana Axiom Space alla quale, in collaborazione con l'Asi, prenderà parte il Colonnello dell'Aeronautica, Walter Villadei.Un primo passo un verso un nuovo capitolo della centenaria storia della Forza Armata che inaugura un nuovo approccio alla conquista dello Spazio, soprattutto mentre sta per partire il programma lunare Artemis, come ha sottolineato il Capitano Andrea Patassa, pilota sperimentarore dell'Aeronautica Militare e astronauta della Riserva dell'Agenzia spaziale europea (Esa)."Stiamo tornando sulla Luna - ha detto - ma, a differenza degli anni'60 e '70, stiamo tornando per restarci e per avere una base stabile lì, quindi le opportunità che si aprono nel mondo dello Spazio sono incredibili ed affascinanti".L'Italia - ha sottolineato Urso - crede molto nel settore spaziale e, infatti, ha stanziato 7 miliardi di euro nel periodo 2021-2026 e presto avrà anche una propria legge organica per regolamentarlo.Nel 2024, inoltre, ricorre il 60esimo anniversario del lancio in orbita del San Marco-1, primo satellite artificiale italiano, che ha segnato l'ingresso dell'Italia nel settore spaziale, preceduta solo da Stati Uniti ed Unione Sovietica.
