Vladimir Putin, secondo il quale le forze di Kiev fanno fatto ricorso a "bombardamenti indiscriminati, anche con missili, su strutture civili". Il presidente russo Vladimir Putin ha affermato che Mosca fornirà il massimo sostegno "in tutti i settori" alla regione di Kursk, dove sono in corso combattimenti tra le forze russe e quelle ucraine che hanno varcato il confine. Lo ha riferito il governatore, Alexei Smirnov, riferendo di una conversazione notturna avuta durante la notte con il presidente. "Migliaia" di residenti delle zone di confine vengono evacuate in queste ore verso altre regioni russe, secondo quanto riferisce l'agenzia Ria Novosti.  L'Ucraina ordina l'evacuazione di 6.000 persone dalle aree vicine a Kursk. Lo ha annunciato il governatore locale. Il capo di Stato maggiore russo, Valery Gerasimov, sostiene che quasi mille soldati ucraini abbiano preso parte all'offensiva ucraina nella regione russa di Kursk e che l'attacco sia stato fermato dalle truppe di Mosca. Lo riportano le agenzie Interfax e Ria Novosti. I dati forniti dal generale russo non sono confermabili in maniera indipendente.Il ministero della Difesa di Mosca ha affermato che nelle ultime 24 ore l'intervento delle truppe di terra e i bombardamenti russi hanno portato all'eliminazione di 260 soldati ucraini e di 50 veicoli corazzati, tra i quali sette carri armati. Secondo il ministero, i bombardamenti russi, che si estendono alla regione ucraina di Sumy, "hanno impedito al nemico di avanzare in profondità nel territorio della Federazione Russa". Ieri Mosca aveva detto che il tentativo di infiltrazione era condotto da 300 militari ucraini della 22/a brigata meccanizzata.Secondo le autorità russe, i bombardamenti delle forze di Kiev che hanno preceduto e accompagnato l'attacco hanno provocato almeno 5 morti, tra cui due operatori di un'ambulanza, e 28 feriti, tra i quali alcuni bambini. Secondo il canale Telegram russo Rybar, vicino alle forze armate, gli ucraini avrebbero preso il controllo di tre piccoli insediamenti: Nikolaevo-Darino, Darino e Sverdiklovo, ma le forze di Mosca sarebbero in difficoltà anche in altre zone.
