ha fatto il tornitore. Un mondo operaio semplice e pulito che crolla sotto la speculazione finanziaria della banca locale in cui ha messo tutti i suoi risparmi. Dal crack si salvano gli industriali della zona, avvisati per tempo, soccombono e perdono tutto i piccoli risparmiatori a cui viene nascosta la verità fino alla fine. Un dramma economico e sociale che spazza via onestà e fiducia nei confronti del prossimo su cui l’operaio Antonio Riva (interpretato dall’attore-regista) aveva costruito la sua esistenza ◆ La recensione di BATTISTA GARDONCINI *► Nella filmografia di Antonio Albanese non c’è soltanto lo spregiudicato e pirotecnico politico Cetto La Qualunque. Anche nei film più seri ed impegnati, però, non è mai mancata una vena se non di comicità, almeno di ironica leggerezza. Nulla di tutto questo, invece, nell’ultima fatica dell’attore, “Cento domeniche”, dove Albanese è anche regista e sceneggiatore con l’amico Piero Guerrera: il film è cupo, angosciante e dichiaratamente pensato come un grido di denuncia alla Ken Loach contro i misfatti di un sistema bancario inquinato da ladri e malfattori.Antonio Riva ha lavorato per quaranta anni in un cantiere navale sul lago di Olginate, in provincia di Lecco. È separato dalla moglie, abita con la vecchia madre sull’orlo della demenza, e ha un unico sogno nella vita: condurre all’altare la figlia. Ma le sue speranze crollano quando perde tutti i risparmi nel crack della banca locale, che fino all’ultimo nasconde cinicamente ai piccoli risparmiatori la verità, mentre gli industriali della zona, avvisati per tempo, riescono a salvarsi. Per Antonio il danno non è soltanto economico. È tutto il suo mondo, basato sulla onestà e sulla fiducia nei confronti del prossimo, che va in frantumi, con conseguenze drammatiche per lui e per chi gli sta intorno. Albanese è bravissimo nel tratteggiare la vita semplice e pulita dell’operaio Riva in un ambiente che lui conosce bene perché è lo stesso della sua gioventù. Nato a Olginate da genitori di origine siciliana, Albanese ha lavorato nello stesso cantiere dove ha ambientato le riprese — ritrovando addirittura il suo vecchio tornio — ed è perfettamente a suo agio nella atmosfera e nei riti della provincia. Non altrettanto si può dire della giovane Liliana Bottone, un po’ goffa nell’interpretazione della figlia Emilia.
