(askanews) - Lo stadio principale e lo stadio superiore per il volo inaugurale di Ariane 6 sono attualmente nella linea di assemblaggio finale del corpo centrale all'Edificio Assemblaggio Lanciatore (BAL) situato nel complesso di lancio ELA4. Il corpo centrale è costituito dallo stadio principale e dallo stadio superiore, assemblati insieme grazie a una struttura di interfaccia tra gli stadi. Una volta assemblato, sarà trasferito dal BAL alla rampa di lancio.Una volta sulla rampa di lancio, il corpo centrale sarà sollevato in posizione verticale e collocato sul piano di lancio. Lì saranno aggiunti i due booster, uno per lato, per formare un Ariane 62. Anche questi due booster a combustibile solido sono in fase di integrazione finale da parte dei team di ArianeGroup in un edificio appositamente allestito presso lo spazioporto europeo. Infine, il composito superiore, costituito dalla carenatura e dai carichi utili, sarà aggiunto al lanciatore sulla rampa di lancio.Lo stadio principale e lo stadio superiore sono arrivati in Guyana francese a bordo di Canopée il 21 febbraio, dai siti di ArianeGroup di Les Mureaux e Brema.Il programma Ariane 6 è gestito e finanziato dall'Agenzia Spaziale Europea (ESA). In qualità di appaltatore e di autorità di progettazione principale del lanciatore, ArianeGroup è responsabile del suo sviluppo e della sua produzione con i suoi partner industriali, nonché della sua commercializzazione attraverso la sua filiale Arianespace. L'Agenzia spaziale francese, CNES, e i suoi partner contrattuali sono responsabili della costruzione della rampa di lancio dedicata ad Ariane 6 a Kourou, nella Guyana francese.
