Giornali haaffidato a Siae il mandato per negoziare con le piattaformedigitali l'equo compenso da queste dovuto per l'utilizzo on linedegli articoli di giornale.Per favorire l'esercizio, da parte delle imprese editrici,del diritto connesso introdotto dalla cosiddetta DirettivaCopyright, la Fieg ha affidato alla Società Italiana degliAutori ed Editori le attività di negoziazione e di incasso.Un Comitato di coordinamento, composto da rappresentanti diFieg e di Siae - spiega una nota congiunta - definirà lestrategie per conseguire l'equo compenso di cui al nuovo art. 43bis della Legge sul diritto d'autore (L. 633/41), nonché icontenuti degli accordi da stipulare e le iniziative giudiziariea tutela delle ragioni delle imprese editrici. Il presidente della Fieg, Andrea Riffeser Monti, ha cosìcommentato: "Dopo essere stati promotori nell'adozione dellaDirettiva Copyright e del suo recepimento in ambito nazionale,gli editori della Fieg sono convinti che la collaborazione conSiae garantirà un'equa remunerazione alle centinaia di testate eagenzie di stampa i cui contenuti sono ancora utilizzati, senzacompenso, dalle piattaforme online. L'avvio di questo percorso èun passo decisivo verso l'effettivo riconoscimento di un'equacondivisione del valore generato dagli over the top, invitatidallo stesso presidente Mattarella a non sottrarsi alleresponsabilità e agli obblighi che derivano loro dall'essereparte di una comunità da cui pure traggono benefici eopportunità economiche.
