(askanews) - A Liverpool due uomini sono stati condannati per aver partecipato ai disordini violenti organizzati da movimenti di estrema destra degli ultimi giorni, seguiti all'accoltellamento di Southport dello scorso 29 luglio. Si tratta di John O'Malley, 43 anni, e di William Nelson Morgan, 69 anni. A leggere la sentenza è stato il giudice Andrew Menary KC: "Nel suo caso, John O'Malley per il reato di disordini violenti, la condanna è a 32 mesi di reclusione. Nel suo caso William Nelson Morgan, per il reato di disordini violenti, la pena è anche a 32 mesi di reclusione".Martedì scorso O'Malley si è unito a un gruppo di diverse centinaia di persone che a Southport hanno scagliato oggetti contro le forze dell'ordine, ferendo oltre 50 agenti di polizia. In tribunale ha ammesso di aver avuto un ruolo attivo nei disordini. Morgan, invece, aveva partecipato agli scontri a Liverpool sabato scorso.
