Un detenuto si è impiccato ieri sera nella Casa circondariale di Biella, scrive in una nota Uilpa Polizia penitenziaria sottolineando che il detenuto aveva 55 anni, era di origine albanese, e che a nulla sono valsi i soccorsi. E che, ai 64 detenuti che si sono tolti la vita, bisogna aggiungere i 7 appartenenti al Corpo di polizia penitenziaria. "Nella sostanziale indifferenza del Governo, non si ferma la carneficina nelle carceri del Paese e siamo a un numero di morti assurdo, mai visto in precedenza", denuncia il segretario generale della UilPa Polizia Penitenziaria Gennarino De Fazio.Un altro suicidio, il 63esimo, è avvenuto solo lunedì. “48 anni, originario di Montecorvino Rovella, si sarebbe suicidato impiccandosi nel bagno della camera di sicurezza del Tribunale di Salerno dov’era stato tradotto in mattinata per la convalida dell’arresto scattato per maltrattamenti in famiglia.
