statoucciso in un attacco aereo a Beirut.In una dichiarazione, le forze di difesa israeliane (Idf)hanno detto che Shukr, noto anche come Hajj Mohsin, è ilcomandante di Hezbollah più anziano ucciso da Israele. Shukrfaceva parte del Consiglio della Jihad, il massimo organomilitare della milizia sciita sostenuta dall'Iran, ed eraconsiderato il capo della sua divisione strategica. L'Idf haspiegato che dopo l'attacco di Hamas del 7 ottobre, Shukr hagestito gli attacchi di Hezbollah contro Israele, tra cui lastrage di Majdal Shams. E aggiungono che era "responsabiledella maggior parte degli armamenti più avanzati di Hezbollah,tra cui missili a guida di precisione, missili da crociera,missili antinave, razzi a lungo raggio e droni", oltre che"dell'accumulo di forze, della pianificazione e dell'esecuzionedi attacchi terroristici contro lo Stato di Israele" .Shukr si è unito a Hezbollah nel 1985 e ha ricoperto diverseposizioni di alto livello, negli anni '90 ha portato avantinumerosi attacchi contro l'Idf e il South Lebanon Army, poi nel2000, è stato coinvolto nel rapimento di tre soldati israelianiin un attacco nell'area del Monte Dov.
