"Ho avuto diverse opportunità di tornare in Italia in tutti questi anni. Ma quando Ibrahimovic mi ha chiamato non ci ho pensato un attimo, nessuna squadra ha spinto tanto per volermi come ha fatto il Milan. Sono una persona che ha bisogno di fiducia - sottolinea -, che accetta anche le critiche, ma da persone che credono davvero in me. Non posso promettere campionati o titoli perchè non dipende solo da me, ma prometto che spingerò tantissimo. Alcuni - prosegue - pensano che un leader debba fare sessanta gol all'anno, quando invece deve saper gestire il gruppo e dare una mano in tanti aspetti in campo. Ibrahimovic è uno dei miei riferimenti anche sul campo, gli ho sempre chiesto magliette o scarpe durante la carriera per farvi capire quanto lo ammiro. Poi ho sentito altri ex Milan come Pato, Kakà e Shevchenko, tutti mi hanno detto cosa vuol dire questo club". Lui il calcio italiano lo conosce bene e non ha mai smesso di seguirlo. "Ritrovo un campionato che è cresciuto molto rispetto a dieci anni fa, quando c'erano meno gol e molta più tattica". Come ai tempi della Juve, il suo approccio non cambia. "Io voglio vincere, non mi interessa fare cinquanta o sessanta gol. Siamo una squadra e sono sicuro che il lavoro collettivo darà a tutti la possibilità di segnare tanto. Ho già respirato l'aria di Milanello ed è molto speciale. Se sono qui è perchè voglio portare al Milan la seconda stella, ampliando la sua già grande storia. Sono nella miglior versione della mia carriera, sono contento e felice di essere qui e i tifosi del Milan vedranno che aver preso Morata si rivelerà essere un ottimo acquisto. Il mio passato in bianconero? Io sono grato alla Juve per tutto ciò che hanno fatto per me - afferma Morata -, ma oggi sono un giocatore del Milan e anche se ritroverò amici in campo a contare sarà prima di tutto il risultato".Si presenta in rossonero da campione d'Europa...chissà che il Milan non possa comportarsi come la sua Spagna.
