formazioni politiche storicamente nemiche della città, in merito alla scarsa partecipazione del comitato, del popolo delle Vele e della comunità di Scampia alle esequie di questa mattina. Chi l’ha alimentata, oltre a dimostrare scarso rispetto nei confronti di chi oggi sta piangendo la scomparsa dei propri cari, dimostra di comportarsi come al solito da turista del dolore, di conoscere così poco il nostro territorio da non saper valutare le assenza e le presenze". Così in una nota il Comitato Vele di Scampia, che aggiunge: "Vogliamo essere chiari nonostante crediamo sia raccapricciante dover fare una simile precisazione sia dal punto di vista deontologico, sia perché oggi era la giornata di cordoglio, rispetto e sostegno alle vittime"."Dapprima - scrivono - abbiamo letto dell'assenza del Comitato Vele ai funerali per protesta. Non è vero, il Comitato era presente e non ha mai nemmeno pensato di protestare nel giorno dei funerali. Nessuno si è seduto su quelle sedie posizionate sotto al sole e senza alcuna copertura nel giorno "dell'emergenza ondata di calore". Era impossibile, erano di fuoco". Molti sono arrivati in piazza "e poi sono andati via, chi è rimasto si è trovato un posto all'ombra per riuscire a seguire i funerali, per evitare un'insolazione". Da qui la riflessione per cui "pubblicare una foto in cui compaiono le sedie vuote senza far vedere o senza dire che esattamente alle spalle di chi stava fotografando, all'ombra, c'erano altre centinaia di persone, è profondamente scorretto"."Nonostante questo, nonostante le sedie fossero state posizionate al sole, tranne quelle delle autorità, il popolo delle vele - ancora nella nota del Comitato - era presente, così come erano presenti i rappresentanti delle associazioni del territorio. Scampia era presente in una piazza che ha una capienza gigantesca in cui semplicemente era impossibile star al sole per più di qualche minuto, tanto che quattro persone sono svenute".E "se proprio si vuole fare la conta degli assenti in un momento che dovrebbe essere solo di raccoglimento e di lutto" si dovrebbe guardare "al resto della città, all'intellighenzia, alle più alte cariche dello Stato ed anche ai tanti che troppo spesso hanno utilizzate le Vele solo come brand". "Al dolore per chi è morto, per chi inesorabile continua a lottare contro la morte o per chi ancora sa che la sua vita non sarà più la stessa, c'è - si legge in conclusione - un profondo rammarico per il tentativo di delegittimazione, anche delle lacrime, che si è voluto mettere in atto e che non ha eguali se questa stessa tragedia fosse avvenuta in qualsiasi altro posto, della città, della regione, del paese. Ma oggi per noi non è il giorno delle polemiche. È il giorno del dolore e dell’ultimo saluto a Roberto, Margherita e Patrizia.
