Per mettere il rogo sotto controllo sono state necessarie molte ore di lavoro con diversi elicotteri, il canadair intervenuto in serata, mezzi dei vigili del fuoco, della protezione civile, della polizia municipale per bloccare le strade di accesso ed evacuare la città giudiziaria, la sede Rai e la stazione dei carabinieri di via Teulada, e i residenti di diversi palazzi vicini al fianco della collina.
