"Non sta scritto da nessuna parte che il condannato - ha proseguito - debba vivere in condizioni umanamente non dignitose, questo e' il problema, quindi la pena va espiata per recuperare alla societa' una persona, non e' soltanto un aspetto punitivo, la pena deve servire a rieducare una persona dove e' possibile, perche' se no si incancrenisce il problema, il difetto del detenuto, se entra criminale ed esce piu' criminale di quando e' entrato la carcerazione non ha avuto alcun effetto.
