(askanews) - L'opposizione in Venezuela alza la testa contro il presidente. Migliaia di persone hanno sfilato per le strade di Caracas, chiedendo la fine del regime di Nicolas Maduro. La leader dell'opposizione, Maria Corina Machado, che ha detto di vivere nascosta per timore della sua vita, ha arringato la piazza: "Non siamo mai stati così forti come oggi e il regime non è mai stato così debole".Lo sfidante di Maduro, Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, è stato riconosciuto presidente eletto dagli Stati Uniti e da diversi paesi dell'America Latina. "Non lasceremo le strade", ha promesso la signora Machado.Per Maduro, erede del leader socialista Hugo Chàvez e capo del Paese dal 2013, è stata proclamata la rielezione già da alcuni giorni, dopo una tornata elettorale segnata da brogli. Di fronte ai suoi sostenitori, riuniti davanti al palazzo presidenziale in nome della "pace nazionale", Maduro non ha lasciato spazio a dubbi: "Oggi siamo più forti, abbiamo più esperienza, siamo più preparati. Nessuno imporrà lo scenario golpista.
