Lo calcola Confesercenti che parla di"un'esplosione che sta trasformando non solo il compartoricettivo, ma anche le nostre città ed i nostri paesi"."La diffusione di piattaforme come Airbnb, infatti, ha resopiù facile per i proprietari di immobili entrare nel mercatodell'affitto breve, e un maggiore numero di persone vede nellelocazioni turistiche un'opportunità di reddito aggiuntivo: sulsolo AirBnB, ad agosto, sono in offerta oltre 700milasistemazioni, di cui l'85% circa appartamenti riconvertitiall'ospitalità turistica, per la maggior parte gestitidirettamente dal proprietario", afferma l'associazione. Il fenomeno è particolarmente forte nelle grandi città: neiComuni con oltre 250mila abitanti le imprese della ricettivitàdiffusa passano in dieci anni da 2.823 ad 8.579, con unincremento del 204%. Di poco inferiore quello registrato daiComuni tra 50 e 250mila residenti (+196%) e dalle localitàintermedie (+182% per i comuni tra 15 e 50mila abitanti).L'ondata del turismo diffuso non risparmia neanche piccoli epiccolissimi: case vacanze, affitti brevi e B&B crescono anchenelle località con una popolazione compresa tra 5 e 15milaabitanti (+136%) e nei micro-comuni con meno di 5mila residenti(+80%).
