(askanews) - La compagnia aerea statunitense Delta Airlines ha annunciato che intende perseguire azioni legali contro la società di sicurezza informatica Crowdstrike e contro Microsoft, puntando a risarcimenti danni per almeno mezzo miliardo di dollari. Con una comunicazione, il vettore afferma che il blocco informatico causato lo scorso 19 luglio da un aggiornamento dei software Crowdstrike, che ha creato problemi sulle piattaforme Windows di MS, ha determinato la cancellazione di circa 7. 000 voli nell'arco di cinque giorni."Un danno di questa portata è inaccettabile - afferma l'amministratore di Delta, Ed Bastian nel comunicato -. Procediamo alla via legali contro CrowdStrike e Microsoft per i danni causati che ammontano ad almeno 500 milioni di dollari".Il vettore lamenta una perdita diretta di fatturato stimata a 380 milioni di dollari, tra voli cancellati e rimborsi, a cui si aggiungono 170 milioni di risarcimenti danni e costi supplementari per il personale.
