(askanews) - "Abbiamo voluto riproporre con Orion (Ovarian Research In microgravity cONditions) un esperimento che era già previsto nella missione Minerva della Cristoforetti e che è proprio relativo a studiare il comportamento della funzionalità ovarica in un ambiente che non è quello terrestre quindi in microgravità, sulla Stazione Spaziale. L'esperimento sarà effettuato in sette giorni e prevede l'inserimento in un apparato incubatore, di cellule bovine ovariche per capire se i due tipi di cellule che verranno utilizzate subiscono dei funzionamenti degradati o alterati, diversi comunque da quelli previsti, proprio per l'assenza della gravità perché sono in un ambiente diverso da quello terrestre".
