La compagnia spaziale privata americana che fa capo al magnate Jeff Bezos, patron di Amazon, è tornata a volare dopo 15 mesi dal fallimento del lancio NS-23 dovuto a un problema al propulsore.Nella capsula, questa volta, non c'erano turisti spaziali ma principalmente 33 esperimenti scientifici della NASA e di partner commerciali come università, istituti di ricerca e aziende private. Ma non solo: Club for the Future, società no-profit di Blue Origin, ha inviato oltre la linea di Karman (100 Km, il limite ideale tra atmosfera e Spazio) anche 38mila cartoline come parte del suo programma "Postcards to Space". Ogni cartolina sarà restituita al proprietario con il timbro "Ha volato nello Spazio."Il New Shepard è partito dal Launch Site One in Texas per un volo durato, in totale, 10 minuti e 33 secondi dopo aver raggiunto un'altezza massima di 107 km sul livello medio del mare.
