Io sono l'astronauta numero 609 che ha volato nello Spazio dall'inizio dell'era spaziale. Quindi, una popolazione che cresce, non è una popolazione numerosissima ma è una popolazione che continuerà ad aumentare sempre di più nel futuro. Lo Spazio sta diventando una dimensione dove possiamo accedere in maniera più rapida, più veloce. Per tutti le studentesse e gli studenti che sono lì presenti e hanno questo sogno direi di non metterlo nel cassetto e non considerarlo un obiettivo irrealizzabile. Al contrario, con impegno, sacrificio, determinazione e studio possono sicuramente realizzarlo". Così l'astronauta Walter Villadei intervenendo in videocollegamento all'evento "At the Frontline of Climate Action" organizzato dall'Aeronautica Militare al Palazzo della Fao, a Roma, in occasione della Giornata Meteorologica Mondiale."Oltre agli astronauti, però - ha aggiunto il Colonnello Villadei - agli agli stessi studenti direi: guardate anche alle altre professioni che l'attività nello Spazio richiede: scienziati, tecnici, ingegneri, medici, istruttori oggi sempre più anche la parte legale e giuridica. Lo Spazio sta diventando da quella che anche che era una sorta di frontiera da esplorare, una normale dimensione quotidiana di attività. Quindi ci stiamo un pochino espandendo verso lo Spazio come umanità, trasferendo lì parte delle nostre attività quotidiane, operative, di vita quotidiana.
