La capsula, posizionata su un lanciatore Atlas V di United Launch Alliance (Ula) è già sulla rampa di lancio della base Nasa di Cape Canaveral, in Florida (Usa) per la sua prima missione con equipaggio a bordo destinata alla base orbitante.Il lancio è previsto per la serata di lunedì 6 maggio 2024, alle 22.34 (quando in Italia saranno le 4.34 di martedì 7 maggio). L'arrivo sulla Iss è previsto, invece, per mercoledì 8 maggio. I due astronauti protagonisti di questo volo di prova, Butch Wilmore e Sunita Williams sono arrivati a Cape Canaveral nei giorni scorsi a bordo di un jet T-38 della Nasa.
