(askanews) - I principali componenti del primo modello di volo del nuovo lanciatore spaziale europeo Ariane 6 di Arianespace sono arrivati, via mare, a bordo della speciale nave Canopée, al porto di Pariacabo a Kourou, in Guyana francese. Il primo volo nello Spazio del nuovo, potente, lanciatore dell'Agenzia Spaziale Europea (Esa) è previsto, salvo rinvii, nell'estate del 2024, auspicabilmente tra giugno e luglio.Tutti i principali componenti dell'Ariane 6 sono fabbricati in Europa. Una volta sbarcati, sono stati trasportati su strada al nuovo edificio d'assemblaggio del lanciatore a pochi chilometri di distanza, dove verranno preparati per l'integrazione finale e, quindi, il lancio inaugurale. Il nucleo centrale del lanciatore, assemblato orizzontalmente, verrà trasportato sulla rampa qualche settimana prima del lancio. Qui, dopo l'integrazione dei booster e dello stadio superiore, sarà sollevato in verticale, pronto per il volo.In particolare i booster a propulsione solida P120C sono prodotti in Italia. Sono gli stessi utilizzati per il lanciatore Vega-C e sono già nello spazioporto europeo.
