(askanews) - Meno dell'1% dei mari italiani è sottoposto a misure di tutela efficaci e appena lo 0,04% rientra nel computo delle aree in cui è vietata qualsiasi tipo di attività, inclusa la pesca. Siamo quindi ben lontani dall'obiettivo 30x30, che prevede la protezione di almeno il 30% dei nostri mari entro il 2030, di cui il 10% con aree a protezione integrale, che l'Italia si è impegnata a realizzare. Lo rivela un'indagine di Greenpeace Italia che ha identificato le aree protette dei nostri mari, smentendo le stime governative. L'indagine ha mappato le aree marine protette (AMP) italiane , i parchi nazionali che prevedono zone di protezione marina, i SIC (siti di interesse comunitario) e il Santuario Pelagos, analizzando le tipologie di tutela presenti per verificare se la protezione dichiarata corrisponde a una protezione effettiva. Come si vede dalla carta interattiva realizzata da Greenpeace ( greenpeace.it/salviamo-il-mediterraneo/ ) è emerso che solo le AMP e i Parchi Nazionali hanno regolamenti stringenti in grado di tutelare effettivamente la biodiversità marina, mentre il Santuario Pelagos e i SIC rientrano nella categoria dei cosiddetti "parchi di carta", aree individuate e definite importanti per la loro biodiversità ma in cui non vengono messe in atto misure di mitigazione o limitazione degli impatti antropici.
