Bologna, Verona e Cagliari. Il servizio sarà attivo anche nei territori delle province e, a partire da metà settembre, partirà anche nelle grandi città, tra cui Roma, Milano e Napoli. L'avvio è sperimentale, ma a breve il servizio che coprirà tutto il territorio nazionale entrerà a regime e porrà rimedio all'intasamento delle Questure visto negli ultimi mesi. "Siamo l’unico Paese al mondo in cui lo Stato si avvale di un società privata, anche se è una sua controllata, per il rilascio dei passaporti. In caso di rinnovo si dovrà consegnare anche il vecchio passaporto.Da novembre possibile nelle maggiori città"Il servizio per i passaporti ha richiesto un impegno importante, a partire dalla formazione del personale e poi con l’implementazione della piattaforma informatica (in sette anni abbiamo cambiato 70 mila persone, un vero cambio generazionale) dalla quale le questure possono recuperare in tempo reale di dati dei richiedenti", ha spiegato il dg. E non sarebbe finita, perché secondo il dirigente da novembre, grazie alla piattaforma, sarà possibile "anche il rilascio negli uffici della carta d’identità elettronica. Tutto questo ha richiesto un impegno finanziario aggiuntivo per Poste di altri 80-100 milioni". Per quanto riguarda i passaporti, dopo "l'abilitazione delle Questure a operare questo servizio in collaborazione con Poste". E spiega che dopo l'avvio nei tre centri urbani citati, "a Milano progressivamente avvieremo il servizio in 100 uffici postali, a Napoli in 72 e a Roma 200". Il documento si otterrà in 15 giorni. "L’innovazione introdotta con il servizio all’ufficio postale - dopo aver formalizzato la richiesta, fatta la consegna delle foto, la firma e l’impronta digitale - è che dal momento della consegna della ricevuta cominciano a decorrere i 15 giorni entro i quali il passaporto deve essere pronto - ha detto ancora Lasco -. L’87% dei richiedenti ha voluto la consegna a casa, servizio che ha un costo di 9,53 euro, oltre al costo di 14,2 euro per il passaporto".
