raccontare, oltre il didascalico, la storia di due ragazzi omosessuali che decidono di avere un figlio. Loro muoiono in un incidente aereo e la madre surrogata che ha già una figlia di nove anni e un disperato bisogno di soldi vorrebbe dare la nascitura in adozione. Il padre di uno dei due ragazzi omosessuali decide di incontrare la madre protetta dall’anonimato che vive in Belgio ma la sceneggiatura è quella che è: prevedibile e scontata, nonostante i due protagonisti Luchini e Taquin siano bravissimi nel disegnare l’umanità dolente dei loro personaggi ◆ La recensione di BATTISTA GARDONCINI *► Gli ingredienti per un bel film c’erano tutti. Un tema controverso come la maternità surrogata con le sue grandi implicazioni di ordine morale e sociale. Una relazione omosessuale. Il lutto di un padre per la morte di un figlio. Una giovane attrice di talento come Mara Taquin e un mostro sacro come Fabrice Luchini. Ma “La petite” del regista francese Guillaume Nicloux non convince, e probabilmente la colpa è proprio del regista, che eccede nel didascalico e non riesce mai a trovare il guizzo necessario per andare oltre le buone intenzioni. Una costante nella filmografia di Nicloux, che è anche – per meglio dire soprattutto – uno scrittore affermato, autore di alcuni romanzi di successo.Luchini è Joseph, un anziano restauratore di mobili francese, vedovo. Ha due figli. Il ragazzo è omosessuale, e vive a Londra con il compagno. I due sono sposati e hanno deciso di avere un figlio con la maternità surrogata, che in Belgio è permessa purché non vi sia passaggio di denaro tra i contraenti. Ma il loro aereo cade poche settimane prima del parto. Mentre i genitori del compagno vorrebbero semplicemente dimenticare tutto, Joseph non si rassegna, e nonostante l’opposizione della figlia, va in Belgio per rintracciare la madre surrogata, protetta dall’anonimato. Quando alla fine la trova scopre che si chiama Rita, ha una figlia sua di nove anni, e un disperato bisogno di soldi. Quelli che le erano stati promessi in nero non sono mai arrivati, e vuole dare la nascitura in adozione. Ma Joseph è contrario. Il nucleo centrale del film è costruito sulla relazione tra Joseph e Rita e sulle difficili decisioni da prendere sul futuro della bambina, ma paradossalmente è quello che mostra un po’ la corda. Luchini e Taquin sono bravissimi nel disegnare l’umanità dolente dei loro personaggi, i loro punti di forza e le loro debolezze.
