gennaio 2024, i servizi della Commissione sono stati in stretto contatto con le autorità italiane per discutere possibili soluzioni" in merito all'applicazione della direttiva Bolkestein al settore dei balneari. "Per quanto riguarda le fasi formali della procedura di infrazione, ricordiamo che il parere motivato è l'ultimo passaggio prima di un possibile deferimento di un caso alla Corte di giustizia dell'Unione europea", aggiunge il portavoce interpellato sulla mancanza di scadenze temporali fissate. Il documento del governo parte dalla mappatura delle coste italiane svolta da Palazzo Chigi, secondo cui solo il 33% dei litorali sarebbe occupato da imprese balneari allontanando pertanto il principio della “scarsità di risorsa” previsto dalla direttiva Bolkestein per effettuare le gare delle concessioni. É la risposta che il governo italiano ha dato al parere motivato inviato il 16 novembre 2023 con la richiesta formale di conformarsi al diritto dell'Ue.
