Lamya Essemlali, presidente dell'organizzazione, gli fa visita "quasi ogni giorno" nel carcere di Nuuk, scrive Afp. La situazione, secondo lui, è chiarissima: "È consapevole del fatto che il Giappone sta mettendo tutto il suo peso politico, che lui è un simbolo politico", ha detto Essemlali ad Afp.Watson, che ha recitato nella serie televisiva reality "Whale Wars", ha fondato Sea Shepherd e la Captain Paul Watson Foundation (CPWF), ed è noto per le tattiche radicali, inclusi gli scontri con le navi baleniere in mare.L'attivista 73enne è stato arrestato il 21 luglio quando la nave John Paul DeJoria ha attraccato a Nuuk per fare rifornimento.Secondo il CPWF, la nave era in viaggio per "intercettare" la nuova nave baleniera giapponese nel Pacifico settentrionale.
