(Adnkronos Salute) - Continua a far discutere il nuovo 'position paper' dell'Associazione culturale pediatri (Acp) sui rischi per la salute da filtri e creme solari. Dopo le polemiche su X, ora arriva la presa di distanze dell'Istituto superiore di sanità. L'Iss, citato dall'Acp nel suo documento, è intervenuto sulla pagina Facebook 'Acp per famiglie' rispondendo ad una utente che chiedeva se l'Iss fosse d'accordo con quanto scritto dai pediatri. "L'Istituto Superiore di Sanità è citato nel 'position paper' ma nessuno dei suoi esperti è stato consultato nella preparazione del documento, pertanto le posizioni espresse non possono essere associate a quelle dell'Istituto", si legge nella risposta dell'Iss. "Per quanto riguarda le affermazioni riportate nel post di presentazione del documento - aggiunge l'Iss - precisiamo quanto segue: le creme solari vanno usate quando l'esposizione è inevitabile non perché siano considerate pericolose, ma perché la loro efficacia è limitata per vari motivi. Perché la protezione dagli Uv non è al 100% (una crema con Spf 15 fa passare nella pelle il 7% degli Uv, una con Spf 30 il 3%, una con Spf 50 il 2%), perché le persone non le utilizzano come previsto (cioè usandone in quantità adeguata e ripetendone l'applicazione come suggerito, questo anche per via del costo delle creme) e perché danno un falso senso di sicurezza che porta le persone a prolungare l'esposizione". Per questo "devono essere considerate come l'ultimo presidio quando tutte le altre misure preventive non vengono adottate (per scelta o per impossibilità, consideriamo che ci sono anche persone che lavorano sotto il sole, non si parla solo di esposizioni 'ricreative'). Una volta che si renda necessario l'utilizzo di creme solari, allora queste non vanno usate 'il meno possibile', ma al contrario 'il più possibile', spalmandole in maniera abbondante e ripetendone l'applicazione"Il position paper dell'Acp evidenziava invece che "esporci al sole fa bene, ma le scottature vanno assolutamente evitate, specialmente in giovane età. Per evitare le scottature però, l'unica strada non può e non deve essere il filtro solare, che può presentare rischi sottovalutati per la salute". Il documento è firmato da un team di pediatri e dermatologi, che ha preso in considerazione le ultime ricerche scientifiche disponibili in fatto di filtri solari.
