(Adnkronos Salute) - Una ragazza è stata salvata pochi giorni fa con un trapianto di fegato in super-urgenza per un'insufficienza epatica fulminante da colpo di calore. L'operazione all'ospedale Molinette della Città della Salute di Torino. "La ragazza, 26enne, residente nella zona di Alba, è stata colta da malore nei pressi di casa sua in campagna durante una mattina di sole rovente di questa caldissima estate. Rinvenuta dai familiari in stato di incoscienza, è stata portata in urgenza presso l'ospedale di Verduno - ricostruisce l'azienda ospedaliero-universitaria - La prima temperatura corporea interna misurata in pronto soccorso era di 41 gradi, comprovante il cosiddetto 'colpo di calore'. I medici rianimatori l'hanno subito intubata e sottoposta a raffreddamento con ghiaccio e liquidi freddi endovena. Il trattamento tempestivo ha consentito di stabilizzare le funzioni vitali della giovane paziente e di impedire la letale progressione verso l'insufficienza multi-organo. Tuttavia, a partire dal giorno successivo all'evento acuto, la situazione del fegato è andata progressivamente peggiorando, configurando molto rapidamente un quadro di severa insufficienza epatica in evoluzione fulminante". Dopo meno di 4 giorni dal trapianto le condizioni della paziente sono in rapido miglioramento e la ragazza si sta progressivamente risvegliando presso la terapia intensiva." Questo episodio dimostra come questa calda estate non fermi la rete di donazione di Piemonte e Valle d'Aosta, capace di rispondere alle esigenze di cura e di salvare la vita di pazienti in lista di attesa anche urgente per trapianto", evidenzia l'Aou. "E' una vita salvata che conferma per l'ennesima volta l'altissimo livello dei professionisti e l'eccellente macchina organizzativa della Città della Salute di Torino. La fattiva collaborazione con gli altri ospedali piemontesi ha permesso di fare rete e di compiere un vero miracolo", ha affermato Giovanni La Valle, direttore generale dell'azienda."Pur nella tragicità della situazione, si è venuta a verificare la favorevole coincidenza temporale che l'équipe chirurgica del centro torinese proprio in quel momento si stesse trovando impegnata in un prelievo d'organi in un importante ospedale piemontese, grazie alla regia del Centro regionale Trapianti - riporta l'Aou in una nota - Il dottor Damiano Patrono stava infatti ultimando un delicato intervento di divisione del fegato di un donatore in due parti (il cosiddetto 'split liver'), affinché la parte sinistra del fegato (più piccola) fosse trapiantata in un ricevente pediatrico in un altro centro trapianti italiano e la parte destra (più grande) fosse trapiantata in un ricevente adulto a Torino. La fortuna ha voluto che il fegato 'split destro' fosse perfettamente compatibile con le necessità della ragazza e che quindi potesse esserle assegnato". La gravissima paziente ha così potuto essere condotta in sala operatoria per trapianto con la massima tempestività, ovvero dopo meno di 2 ore dalla sua immissione in lista d'attesa in super-urgenza nazionale.
