Lo riporta la Bbc specificando che si tratta della prima grande compagnia aerea ad abbandonare un simile obiettivo climatico.Air New Zealand ha aggiunto che sta lavorando a un nuovo obiettivo a breve termine e rimane impegnata a raggiungere un obiettivo di settore di emissioni nette pari a zero entro il 2050.
