Dal cantosuo l'assessora del Personale Mariaelena Motzo ha volutoprecisare "di non avere avuto nulla a che fare con la precedentelegislatura, ma di aver applicato una norma vigente perricoprire alcune, non tutte, tra le figure necessarie. Gliassessori - ha chiarito - non possono lavorare da soli, ma ilnostro obiettivo è spendere con rigore le risorse pubbliche,senza sprechi e in un'ottica di buon senso".L'emendamento è stato respinto con 29 voti contrari e lascelta del centrodestra di astenersi: "abbiamo già votato afavore di quella legge una volta, ora tocca a voi", avevadichiarato Piga poco prima della votazione.
