energetica sta fallendo e che i politici dovrebbero abbandonare la “fantasia” di eliminare gradualmente petrolio e gas poiché la domanda di combustibili fossili continuerà a crescere nei prossimi anni. In realtà, una larga parte del mondo dei produttori non ha capito l’evoluzione in atto in molti settori e il concetto di crescita esponenziale. Citando Michael Leibriech di BlombergNEF, se vent’anni fa, nel 2004, ci voleva un anno intero per installare nel mondo un GW (1.000 MW) fotovoltaico, l’anno scorso ci sono stati periodi in cui è stato installato un GW al giorno. Il solare fotovoltaico ha visto infatti una riduzione del costo dei moduli da 106 dollari per Watt nel 1975 a 0,13 dollari per W nel novembre 2023.E le sorprese non mancano anche in altri settori, come ci ricorda l’annuncio del più importante produttore di batterie Catl che detiene il 37% del mercato mondiale: quest’anno infatti dimezzerà il loro costo, portandolo a 57 $ per kWh. Le riduzioni spettacolari dei prezzi delle batterie contribuiranno a far calare i costi dei veicoli elettrici. E la diffusione della trazione elettrica porterà ad una contrazione delle vendite e del consumo di carburante dei veicoli convenzionali.
