Si tratta di “avere una visione in cui c’è una educazione alla prevenzione che diventa un’altra arma di cura. Proprio per questo abbiamo deciso di sostenere questa campagna di Fondazione Aiom, di fare squadra”. Lo ha detto Mauro Vitali, Head of Oncology Business Division di Daiichi Sankyo Italia, partecipando oggi a Roma, alla conferenza stampa di presentazione della campagna nazionale ‘Tumori, scegli la prevenzione’, promossa da Fondazione Aiom, Associazione italiana di oncologia medica, con contributo non condizionato della farmaceutica. “Dobbiamo educare a prevenire” la malattia oncologica che “è fortemente legata allo stile di vita, quindi educare a una dieta sana, al non fumare e allo svolgere attività fisica”. Sul fronte dei trattamenti, “l'innovazione - precisa Vitali - può portare a un percorso di cura del paziente metastatico”, che cronicizza la patologia “cosa che fino a poco tempo fa era difficile da pensare. Adesso grazie alle innovazioni possiamo compiere passi da gigante nella cura al cancro”.
