(Adnkronos Salute) - "La carenza di infermieri è tema complesso, non esistono ricette semplici. E' ovvio che ad oggi con meno 65mila professionisti nel Ssn c'è la necessità di reclutare infermieri dall'estero. Tuttavia, questa non è l'unica soluzione per arginare un fenomeno grave, se pensiamo che tra il 2023 e il 2033 ben 90mila infermieri raggiungeranno l'età della pensione e che ogni anno 500 abbandonano il nostro Paese per lavorare all'estero". Così all'Adnkronos Salute Barbara Mangiacavalli, presidente della Federazione nazionale degli Ordini delle professioni infermieristiche (Fnopi), in occasione dell'incontro 'Sfide e opportunità della professione infermieristica', organizzato oggi a Roma da Fnopi e Crui (Conferenza dei rettori delle università italiane). Un confronto istituzionale e un'occasione per illustrare le potenzialità della professione, le criticità persistenti e il ruolo cruciale rappresentato dalla formazione universitaria negli sviluppi futuri del sistema salute. All'emorragia di infermieri si aggiungono i dati allarmanti dei laureati in Scienze infermieristiche, "che ogni anno sono in media 12mila a fronte di 14mila uscite per età pensionabile - aggiunge Mangiacavalli - Quindi è necessaria e urgente un'evoluzione del percorso formativo universitario, con le specializzazioni, che speriamo sia presto realtà. Occorre creare condizioni per rendere la professione infermieristica attrattiva per i giovani, nella misura in cui i giovani possano riempire il proprio zaino di competenze ed evolversi in ambito lavorativo. La formazione deve essere sempre più aderente ai dati epidemiologici e di sistema che ci dicono come si muove e si orienta il Paese". Tra le tante richieste della Fnopi sul tavolo del ministero della Salute, c'è "il riconoscimento della professione infermieristica come professione usurante - sottolinea Mangiacavalli - perché adesso non lo è e per questo non ha neanche alcuni benefici di legge. Risultato? La stragrande maggioranza degli infermieri non va in pensione per raggiunti limiti d'età, ma appena ne ha la possibilità. Ad oggi l'infermiere che entra nel Ssn svolge le stesse mansioni nelle stesse condizioni e con lo stesso stipendio per 40-45 anni: la sua posizione è identica fino a quando va in pensione, tolti alcuni scatti automatici legati alla contrattazione.
